シッティング VS ダンシング、ヒルクライムではどちらがよいか?を実験
ヒルクライムの際、シッティングとダンシングではどちらがよいのでしょうか?GCNのスタッフによる実験結果紹介の動画です。GCNのスタッフ2名が、距離500m、勾配8%の坂を、シッティングとダンシングで3本ずつ(各自・合計6本ずつ)上り、パワー、タイム、心拍数、ケイデンスを計測しています(GCNのスタッフ2名のみの実験結果なので、厳密に科学的な実験結果とはいえない点等は注意が必要です)。
While on their recent trip to Oman, Chris and Emma investigated what climbing technique is better - in or out of the saddle. Heart rate and power were both recorded for the set course, but which came out best?

Chris and Emma do science! Climbing out of the saddle is a good technique for very steep gradients and the opposite is the same for seated climbing. Emma naturally prefers out the saddle, where Chris is different - let's see how the different techniques compare in terms of power output and heart rate for a set climbing course.
